The CBRE South East Asia Investor Intentions Survey 2021 highlights that investor focus, post pandemic, is targeted on tenant credit and rent roll growth, long-term demographic and technology trends and ESG issues whilst relief measures to retain major tenants and the introduction of flexible space in office assets are of less importance.
Singapore, HCMC and Hanoi top the list of SEA destinations for investors. Investors are principally seeking value-add opportunities, whilst distressed assets and NPLs have jumped the furthest in interest compared to the previous year. Industrial and logistics assets remain preferred, while hospitalities has seen the biggest gains y-o-y.
