2. CDC approves $15M-investments in Kandal, K. Chhnang and Takeo

3. NR5 renovation set to have all 4 sections completed by 2024

The rehabilitation project of National Road No. 5, Battambang-Serey Sophorn section, is 100% completed, while the other three sections are scheduled to be completed in 2022, 2023 and 2024 in succession.

4. SR-Battambang road listed in 5-year priority expected to begin before 2025

The project to build a road link between Siem Reap and Battambang has been included in the Ministry’s five-year rolling plan of priority projects with the help of China, with construction expected to begin before 2025.

5. MPWT to build East Ring Road 3 first, Ring Road 4 next

7. Gov’t establishes 6 New Communes in 5 provinces

The Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to establish six new communes and modify the administrative boundaries of two communes in six provinces. This is according to Sub-Decree 8, No. 150 to 157, dated August 20, the same.

8. MPWT to repave and expand sections of NR8 to 4 lanes, expected to begin in 2024

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) plans to add another layer of asphalt and widen parts of National Road 8 into four lanes, with construction expected to begin in 2024 as the project is included in the five-year rolling plan.

9. World Bank finances $63M building landfills in SR, Kandal & K. Speu provinces

The World Bank plans to provide $63 million in financing for the construction of standardized solid waste and plastic landfills in Siem Reap, Kandal and Kampong Speu provinces over a six-year period.

10. Gov’t rejects 1,000ha Natural Lake Acquisition proposal in Lvea Em District
