The government is considering administering a third dose to those who have received their second shot of vaccine against Covid-19 to boost their antibodies and determine how it can protect them from the new Delta coronavirus variant and its slightly mutated version Delta Plus, according to a senior health official.

  1. Japan to donate around one million AstraZeneca vaccines

Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia Mikami Masahiro said that the Japanese Government has announced it will provide approximately one million doses of the vaccine to Cambodia. He said that this was decided in light of the friendship between Japan and Cambodia and based on the current status of Covid-19 in the Kingdom.

An inter-ministerial team is currently studying the smart city management model from Singapore and will soon adapt the system to fit the Cambodian social context. The plan was revealed during an online conference on “Planning for Smart Cities” on 12 July.

The Cambodian government has reached out to China for a loan to construct a road and bridge that crosses the Tonle Sap River and connects Kampong Chhnang to Kampong Thom provinces. Prime Minister Hun Sen announced delays to the project in 2019.
