  1. KK Governor revokes land transaction papers signed by local authorities

Koh Kong Provincial Governor HE Mithona Phouthong has ordered the Commune and Sangkat officers to stop approving or signing on all illegal protected land transaction documents and also voided all the previously-signed ones.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has requested its working committee to include the Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh railway project and three other major infrastructure projects into the national transport and logistics masterplan, to accelerate progress on the projects.

The 5 wildlife sanctuaries, Bou Sra, Sen Monourom city, Ou Reang area, Kaoh Nheaek area and Integrated tourist areas along the border are choosen for a tourism development masterplan, with the aim of turning Mondulkiri into the fourth kingdom’s fourth economic pole.

Construction of the 38-road renovations in Siem Reap will be completed by December this year as scheduled, while progress to date has reached over 63%, according to Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol during his site inspection on 28 June.

Construction of the US$2.5-billion Koh Norea satellite city being developed by OCIC has reached 30% completion, with the company confirming that construction is on schedule despite the COVID-19 crisis.
