  1. Quarantine waived for vaccinated tourists

Prime Minister Hun Sen has decided to lift all quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travelers and visitors – both Cambodians and foreign nationals – effective from November 15 onward.

2. KH-SG trade totalled $4.37 billion in 10 months of 2021

Bilateral trade between Cambodia and Singapore totalled $4.37 billion in the first 10 months of 2021, a 51.27 per cent year-on-year surge from $2.89 billion.

3. Amendment on Labor Law

Amendment on Labor Law – Royal Kram No. NS/RKM/1021/011 includes allowing enterprises to divide scheduled work hours into three shifts, and the provision that individual labor disputes can now be brought to court if the disputing parties cannot settle with the labor inspector.

4. Preah Sihanouk to be key economic pole

The master plan for the development of Sihanoukville is to develop the province into regional innovative logistic centre and resort as “Shenzhen II”.

5. SR to receive vaccinated tourists in 2022

The 38 roads infrastructure project has reached 90% completion and other ongoing projects are to prepare for the vaccination tourism in 2022.

6. Bid sent for 2 additions to UNESCO heritage list

Cambodia has submitted two applications to UNESCO for the registration of “Khmer Bokator Martial Arts” and the “Koh Ker Archaeological Site” on the UN body’s World Heritage List.

7. Cold storage plan in pipeline

Ministry of Economy and Finance and Singapore-based partner company Asia Infrastructure plan to undertake a cold storage project to boost agricultural exports, raise food hygiene standards and streamline systems and processes in the local market.

8. MPWT Begins Demarcating Alignment of East RR3

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has been studying the alignment of the East Ring Road 3 (RR3), connecting Phnom Penh to Lvea Em district of Kandal province and possibly passing through Koh Dach and NR6.
